What About Shoes?
The right shoes for both men and women make a big difference in dancing tango. Smooth soles and good support are essential for the turning steps of the dance. Please bring dance shoes and change upon arrival at the dance event to protect studio floors. Of course the best tango shoes come from Argentina! But you find others online or in the listings for our special events.
Do I Need a Partner?
Yes and No. Tango is a partner dance: it can be very enjoyable for partners to begin learning tango together. However, people without a regular dance partner are welcome at Queen City Tango events and part of the enjoyment of a tango community is meeting new friends on the dance floor.
